Personal Life

Andrew Neligan Chartered Financial PlannerI live with my wife, Carol, near Guildford in Surrey having moved here from London three years ago.

I am a lover of sport & fitness; having completed the London Marathon twice I now enjoy ‘competing’ in triathlons. Living in the Surrey Hills provides a perfect location to train as well as being a beautiful area to walk in.

We love to travel, particularly to the Far East where we find the geography, culture and cuisine makes the region an irresistable  destination. I was also fortunate enough to spend a year after my A-levels teaching in a school in Cape Town which was truely the best year of my life and is, without doubt, my favourite place in the world.

That said, having grown up in Devon, attended university in Birmingham, lived in London,  proposed in Scotland and married in the Lake District I am also passionate about the diversity that the UK has to offer.

Our Financial Planning goals are centred around paying off our mortgage as soon as possible and starting a family. Early retirement so that we can see more of the world (and the UK!) is a longer term objective. Visiting the winelands of New Zealand is a dream that may have to wait until then.
