Think about it. Not for a few seconds but dedicate time to the question.

Be imaginative, get passionate, get emotional.

What would you like to achieve that requires time, money and planning?

Think about what motivates you, what you get excited about.

Perhaps it is a change of career.

Perhaps it is spending time helping people less fortunate than you are.

Perhaps it is spending more time helping to save the environment.

Perhaps it is taking that gap year while age is on your side.

What would you like to achieve that requires time, money and planning?

I doubt it is the pursuit of material possessions because that is not what motivates or inspires us.

But it may be re-locating. Getting away from the hustle and bustle of city life and finding a place in the country or by the sea where you can spend less time working and more time recharging.

Build an image in your mind’s eye of you fulfilling your dream. What does it feel like? Who are you with? What are you doing? What are the sights, sounds and smells?

If you are able to conjure up a strong image that gives you energy then you have taken the first step to achieving your goal.

The next step is to work out what you need to achieve to get you there. This may be financially based but it may also require you to get new skills or meet new people. It may leave you feeling uncertain and fearful. All these hurdles can be overcome as long as you are desperate to achieve the answer to that one question we must all ask ourselves.
